Kamal Haasan’s next movie Marmayogi
As per reports Kamal Haasan has started works for his next film, ‘Marmayogi ‘ and it would be directed by Kamal Haasan himself. His Dasavatharam is almost complete and is releasing on April/14/2008- Tamil new year day
A mega-budget movie produced by Reliance Adlabs and music by A R Rahman. Earlier we reported that Kamal Haasan and Nagarjuna to feature in Reliance ADLABS produced movies.

One and half crore for a scene
It’s amazing. Unbelievable. Vishal starrer ‘Sathyam’ movie has a chasing scene and the unit is spending one and half crore rupees for that. You have to believe it, as the hero Vishal confirms the figure.
Cinematographer R.D. Rajasekar was directing the scene sitting in a special jeep imported for the scene. The jeep has unique features to facilitate shooting breathtaking chasing scenes. Four cameras were working simultaneously capturing the thrilling action in the 200 feet road, near Poonthamalli, in Chennai outskirts.
Is it worthwhile, is the question that strikes your mind. But Vishal has no doubts at all. The grandeur, according to him is not for the sake of grandeur. It is quite important for the film, says the hero.
"We wanted to make the chasing scene the best ever shot in Indian screen. The scene depicts how the police officer (Vishal himself) takes the witness to the court despite the efforts by the goons to kill the witness", says Vishal. Sathyam unit is planning to take an awe-inspiring fighting scene following this chasing scene. So folks, get ready for stunning action.

After the success of his recent films like ‘Kangaroo’, Jayasurya is moving on to more prestigious projects. The actor will join the Kamal film which will start in a short while.Jayasurya is also the hero of the new film by Balachandramenon, which will start its shooting by the 24th of January. Apart from these film Jayasurya also have plenty of projects in hand like ‘Shakespeare', 'Positive' by V K Prakash and a new Telugu film directed by Soorya Kiran.
The actor has plenty of success films in 2007 including the super hits like chocolate and ’Arabikkatha’ which were bumper hits.
He was also seen in meaty roles in films like ‘Hareendran Oru Nishkalangan’, and kangaroo. The only film which had him as hero 'Changathipoocha', also was a profitable affair.
Though the movie has reached a landmark (Silver Jubilee), there is no much official and reliable information about the film so far. It is in this context Ranimainthan’s book gains importance.
Badri Seshadri, the Managing Director of the publishing house, wanted to release the book by the hero of the movie. Superstar Rajinikanth had honored the request and gave time for the function immediately. He asked the publishers to come to Raghavendra Mandapam on the same day (January 3). The book was released by him in a simple function.
Ranimainthan has written the book after meeting producer AVM Saravanan, director Shankar, and the hero Rajinikanth. He has given a load of amazing information about the movie.
Rajini complemented the author by saying that there were no such books on any other movies. He thanked Ranimainthan for giving this honor to the movie. He has mentioned in an interview published in the book that it might even take another fifteen years to make a film like ‘Sivaji’.

Sudeep in a remake:
Highly talented actor of Kannada cinema Sudeep is playing what Mohanlal did in 'Spatikam' and Sundaram (Kushboo husband) did in 'Virapu' in the Kannada version that is going on the floor on 18th of this month. 'Spatikam' was made 15 years ago in Malayalam and 'Virapu' was the recent film in Tamil.
For the producers of 'Ekadantha' Kannada film Sriram and Gopi it is Sadhu Kokila who is directing the film. Director Sadhu Kokila has given many hits like 'Raktha Kanneeru, Suntaragali, Rakshasa, Anatharu'. He has 'Gange Bare Thunge Baare' ready for releasing starring Prajwal Devaraj, Sunaiya and Gayathri in lead roles.
Another film that is going on the floor on 18th of this film is by the top banner of Kannada cinema Rockline Venkatesh production. Ganesh and Ramya are teamed for the first time in this film that will be directed by D.Rajendra Babu who has just completed 'Bindhaas' starring Puneeth Rajakumar and Hansika Motwani. Janardhana Maharshi has provided the story for golden star Ganesh and Ramya starring film.

AMITABH and NIRAV SHAH in "ROBO"
On checking with Shankar's office circle, 2 pieces of information came to light. Two thongs are of prominence in Shankar's films – one is music, the other is the cinematography.
It was already decided that AR Rehman would be the music composer. Fixing the cinematographer was the difficult part. Ravi K Chandran is busy shooting the film of Nandita Das. He is committed to Hindi films and that would take about a year to complete them. Manikantan is busy with a Shahrukh project and overseas shooting.
'Sivaji' K V Anand is busy directing a Surya film. It is said that finally Nirav Shah, who shot 'Billa' and 'Dhoom' is the final choice. He seems an ideal choice for 'Robot.'
The objective is also to rope in Amitabh somehow or other to act in 'Robot.' The unit shows extra care as the film is to be shot in Hindi also and the budget seems to be a mind boggling 100 crores.
In the coming days, we would most likely hear stories about the film that would be more interesting than the film story itself!

Mammootty as ‘Maatukkaran Velan’

Ajith to flies to Hong Kong
Ajith, who is fully occupied by his cute little angel, was planning to get back to the work by later this month or by earlier next month.
Now the plan is changed and Ajith will resume his work by the next week itself. He will fly to Hong Kong to participate in the shooting for the film produced by Ayngaran International and directed by Raju Sundaram. The shooting of the to-be-titled movie begins in Hong Kong.

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s latest film ‘Tare Zameen Par’ has won many friends for him from unexpected quarters. L.K. Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan will now join hands with the Walt Disney Productions, who are expected to produce his forthcoming film ‘Marma Yogi’.
Walt Disney Productions, which recently tied up with Yash Raj Films for a full-length animated feature film called ‘Roadside Romeo’, wants to expand its operations across the country. So they have decided to start a venture with the versatile actor cum filmmaker.
The Kamal-Walt Disney venture will be co-produced by Bharath Bala, who produced A. R. Rahman’s patriotic music video Vande Mataram. ‘Marma Yogi’ will also bring Kamal and Rahman together after a long gap.
Kamal and Hema Malini had earlier teamed up in ‘Hey Ram’. Asin, the heroine of ‘Dasavadharam’, will play a key role. The film will probably be directed by Kamal Haasan.
’Marma Yogi’ is the title of one of MGR's blockbusters (1951), which happened to be the first Tamil film to receive an 'A' certificate. Kamal has earlier done a movie with the title of another MGR film (Sathi Leelavathi, MGR’s maiden venture as hero, which came in 1936).
‘Marma Yogi’ is said to be one of the costliest films ever made in India with a budget of Rs. 90 crore. Kamal will shortly go to the US to discuss the production of this film, which is slated to be shot in Thailand. The shooting might get started by February.

Official announcement on Rajini's 'Kuselan'
The official announcement on Rajinikanth’s next movie – a remake of Malayalam hit 'Katha Parayumbol' - has finally put a full stop to all speculations. The producers and the director of the proposed movie met the media persons January 15 at Taj Coromandel in Chennai, to announce the news.When Rajini made up his mind to do a film for KB, he had asked director P. Vasu to select a right story for remaking. Vasu selected 'Katha Parayumbol', after considering various projects. When Rajini saw this movie he was virtually moved and gave his nod to the project.Vasu requested the media not to write that Rajini would do an honorary role in the movie. He would act in an important role, said the director. “The whole story revolves around him”, declared Vasu.The press meet was attended by K. Balachandar, Seven Arts Vijayakumar (the producer of Malayalam original), director P. Vasu, Vaijayanthi Movies Aswin Dutt (Telugu producer), and story writer cum actor Sreenivasan. The movie will be made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. Kavithalaya, Seven arts, and Vaijayanthi Movies are the joint producers of the venture, which will be directed by P. Vasu.Sreenivasan, who wrote the story of 'Katha Parayumbol' and donned an important role in the film, was a junior to Rajini in the film institute.
